Ep 40. Caring and Direct Payments with Luke

Luke was a young carer for his mum, Pam, a role he continued into adulthood. In this episode he chats with Jenny (Lincolnshire County Council) and podcast host Alison about the caring role and how they used Direct Payments to enable it. Together they navigate through terminology, feelings of guilt, school and work pressures. He also gives top tips for managing that employer/employee relationship that some Carers experience.
